The 60cm thing – why that height?
Sit at your desk. Your ears are probably around 60cm from the floor – assuming a normal desk height. If your tweeters aren't at ear level, you're tilting your head or angling the speaker. Both mess up your mix.
That's why our custom wood speaker stand – models SS418R and SS418W – is 60cm tall. Not 50. Not 70. We tried different heights with real monitors like Yamaha HS8 and KRK. 60cm just works.
"Can it really hold 40kg?"
Last week a customer wrote: "I have two heavy bookshelf speakers – 18kg each. Your stand says max load 40kg. Is that real?"
Yes. We tested it. Put 40kg on one stand, left it for a week, measured if it bent or cracked. Nothing. So whether your speaker is 5kg or 25kg, you're safe. The platform is 17x22cm – fits most monitor bases. Rubber pads on top stop sliding.
Why wood, not metal?
A lot of people assume metal is stronger. But go look at any proper mastering studio. They use wood. Metal tubes ring when you knock them. That ringing transfers into the speaker. Wood kills it. "Do you drill holes for my speaker's bottom screws?"
Some speakers have mounting holes. Tell us your model. We can add mounting plates – that's OEM service.
About the new models – SS418R and SS418W
These are our latest. Same 60cm height. Same 40kg load. Same 17x22cm platform. SS418W is a new wood finish – lighter color, matte look. SS418R is the classic dark wood. Both are heavy duty. No fake "space-grade" marketing. Just wood stands that work.
