"How does the auto-lock clutch work without dropping the pole?"
Good question. When you raise the pole, a safety pin clicks into place automatically. You don't have to push it yourself. And inside the pole, there's an air cushion. That's a soft brake that stops the pole from sliding down fast if you accidentally twist the knob. I've seen expensive stands without this. One slip and your speaker hits the floor. Not with ours.
"Is the base really heavy enough to be stable?"
The base is 12.5kg of solid steel. Size is 55cm x 50cm. That's not a tiny footprint – it keeps your gear planted even when someone bumps into the stand. We call it a heavy steel base for a reason. No wobble.
"What about height?"
Fully extended: 240cm. Folded for transport: 200cm. Works for most stages, from small bars to large halls.
