Every booth has one weak point and it is usually the laptop. The decks are bolted into a case, the mixer sits in a foam cut out, and the computer that is running the whole set rests on a tray that folds up like a camping chair.
We build stands for exactly that job, so we know where the failures start. It is rarely the leg spread. It is the collar that holds the tray at height and the surface that is supposed to stop a laptop sliding when the bass gets loud.

A 40cm tray is the size that actually fits a laptop
Our DJ tripod floor laptop stand uses a tray measuring 40cm by 28cm by 2cm. That footprint takes a fifteen inch machine with room to spare for the cables coming out of the back, which is where most trays fail, because a laptop pushed forward to clear its own leads ends up sitting on the lip.
The two centimetre thickness is not cosmetic. A thin tray flexes under a heavy machine and that flex is what makes a laptop feel unstable even when the legs are solid.
There is a mouse shelf on the same stand, and it sounds like a small thing until you have watched somebody balance a mouse on a cable case because there was nowhere else to put it.
Height from 0.75m to 1.2m, and what happens at each end
Both of our tripod models adjust across 0.75m to 1.2m, and the range matters more than the top figure. At the bottom end the tray works for a seated booth or a low table setup. At the top it clears a standing DJ who does not want to look down at a screen all night.
Adjustment is tool free on both, which is the part to insist on. A stand that needs an Allen key gets set once on the first gig and never adjusted again, so everybody after that first night works at the wrong height.

The collar is the part that gives way first
Height adjustment on a tripod stand lives in the collar, and the collar is where cheap copies cut the most. A collar cut from thin wall tube with a plastic thumb screw will creep under load over an evening, so the tray sinks an inch at a time and the DJ keeps reaching up to compensate.
A wide tripod base helps, and ours is deliberately wide enough to stay planted at 1.2m. What holds the tray at height is still the collar, so ask what it is made of and how it clamps before you compare two quotes that look identical on paper.
The tilt action sits right behind that. Tilt is not there for comfort, it is there to kill the glare from stage lighting, and a tilt joint that slips under the weight of a laptop does the opposite of what it was fitted for.
Floor standing or on the table
A floor stand suits a booth where the laptop needs to sit apart from the mixer, and it doubles as a projector or small mixer platform when the night calls for it. Our tripod laptop stand for DJ mixers shares the same 40cm by 28cm tray and the same 0.75m to 1.2m range, with an anti slip coating on the surface.
A tabletop unit suits a tighter setup where the laptop lives beside the decks. Our DJ tabletop stand gives a 100cm by 41cm steel panel finished in white painted tube, and it doubles as a keyboard platform when the booth is used for something other than decks.
When the laptop belongs on the DJ table
Plenty of buyers do not need a separate stand at all. Our DJ table with laptop stand carries an integrated tray 24cm high and 42cm by 31cm, on a table that measures 1120mm by 530mm by 940mm and weighs 27.5kg.
That tray height puts the screen just above the working surface, which is the position most DJs end up building by hand out of risers anyway. The same table folds flat, comes with a carry bag, and has a steel mesh front plus headphone and cup holders, so the whole booth moves as one piece.

Desk stands for the studio side
Not every buyer is working a room. Our desk top laptop stand lifts a machine a maximum of 15cm and fits screens from ten to fifteen point six inches, which is the size range that covers almost everything used in a studio or a production room.
A small riser like this sells well next to the bigger stands, because the same customer who needs a tripod for the booth usually wants something on the desk at home. Bundling the two is a straightforward way to raise the average order.

How a laptop stand order is built
We have been building in Ningbo since 2009, with ten people on design and tooling and regular consignments into more than 60 countries. Laptop stands sit in the same catalogue as the Yinyu stands and Yinyu cables that many of the same importers already buy.
Two routes cover most of what we ship. The first is your brand on our product, so the logo, the carton print and the part codes your catalogue already runs on. The second is the product itself, where we work up the tray profile, the tilt action, the collar and the finish, and we prototype each one on site before a tool is committed.
Laptop stands run to order rather than off a shelf, so what we quote is a production window sized to your quantity. Everything is quoted delivered duty paid, so there is no second invoice waiting for you at the port.
FAQ
What size laptop fits the tripod tray?
The tray measures 40cm by 28cm, which takes a fifteen inch machine with space behind it for cables. There is a separate mouse shelf for anything else that needs a surface.
Can the tray carry a mixer or a small projector?
Yes. Both tripod models are rated for mixers, projectors and similar AV gear, and the wide base is what keeps them steady at full height. Tell us the weight of what you plan to put on it and we will confirm the tray.
Is the surface really non slip?
Both models use a skidproof surface, and the one for DJ mixers uses an anti slip coating rather than a loose mat. A loose mat is the common shortcut, and it is the first thing to go missing on a gig.
Should I buy a floor stand or a tabletop one?
A floor stand suits a booth where the laptop sits apart from the mixer, and it works as a projector platform too. A tabletop unit suits a tight setup, and a DJ table with an integrated tray suits anybody who wants the whole booth to fold into one bag.
Does the DJ table version fold up for transport?
Yes. The table folds flat and ships with a carry bag, with cable holes and a front scrim included. It measures 1120mm by 530mm by 940mm open and weighs 27.5kg.
Are laptop stands held in stock?
They are not a stocked line, so we quote a production window that matches your quantity. Send the model, the quantity and the destination port and we will come back with a delivered duty paid figure.
Send us the booth, not just the laptop
Tell us what the stand has to carry, whether the DJ works seated or standing, and whether the laptop sits beside the mixer or on a table. You will get back a tray that fits the machine, a height range that fits the room, and a straight answer if an integrated table tray would serve you better than another tripod.
